Our last trip to Taiwan together was in November 2017. That trip was atypical. It was the first time we had travelled anywhere with friends! James had a lot of 怪癖, loved routine and disliked having to trouble others. He knew he was a “troublesome” travel companion: always needing a corner seat, suffered panic attacks in crowded places and trains, would constantly stop to look at random plants, and took ages making up his mind on purchases. On that trip, we visited the east coast of Taiwan before heading to Taipei for our usual fix. The Taiwanese east coast was breathtaking. We enjoyed the company of our travel companions. He was really relaxed. We joked that perhaps we have had enough of just each other, and it was indeed time to start traveling with friends.⁣

In this final Issue of Furrie and Shortie, they visit Taiwan. On that other island, they each indulge their own loves and confront their own fears even as they holiday and...make strange new friends.
